Each certificate includes:

As with any medical certificate in Australia, final acceptance is always up to the employer or institution, but Doccy certificates are designed to match the standard of an in-person certificate from your usual GP.

Your payment covers the consultation and the doctor's time, not a guaranteed certificate. The doctor will:

• Review the information you provide
• Contact you if they need more detail
• Decide whether a certificate is clinically appropriate and safe

If a certificate isn't appropriate, they'll explain why and recommend the best next step (for example, seeing your usual GP in person or attending urgent care). That's how responsible, legitimate telehealth works.

For straightforward cases where a certificate is clearly appropriate, many patients receive their Doccy certificate within minutes of completing their online consult.

• How complex your presentation is
• How complete your information is up-front
• Overall demand at that moment
• Whether the doctor needs to clarify anything or has safety concerns
